Educational leaders can use blogging to share, collaborate and receive feedback on teaching experiences, philosophies, methods and ideas with fellow practioners. Blogs can be used as a communication tool between parents, students and staff and as a way to promote learning materials to a select audience. The are also a great way to open up dialogue, initiate discussion and give and get feedback.
Your plan looks very organized to me. I think a lot of time we assume or cater to mothers that will be involved. This we we introduced a new program called "WatchDogs" with is getting dads, grandads or other men in the community to help out on campus. It has been a huge success! We have a dad scheduled almost everyday on campus that greets students, helps with breakfast and lunch duties (this may only be sitting and eating with a student who needs a friend), read to students, help teachers with what ever they need, and assist with bus room or car duties. We have had several other districts hear of our success and start it on their own campuses. It might be something to look into?
